da big projects

halfway through.. you will be asked to reflect on them as a whole but as for your own...by next tuesday the 16th, submit a reflection on your project/presentation that summarizes your thoughts on how it went/what you learned/overall sense of learning demonstrated over the course of the project

and give it a mark out of 100...think about the nature and level of the course, the % value of the "project", the time given to complete it and evaluate fairly.

you will also be required to hand in a written component to accompany your presentation...if had a powerpoint, print off your slides etc, include all your rough work, include an organized review(including subheadings) of what your project aimed to cover and a general summary of your research.....put it in some sort of binder..hand it in and relax

the one thing I would improve would be.....explain

american teen continued

article states that high schools in one-school towns are "much more of a pressure cooker" (everyone knows everyone and all of the interconnected relationships)...agree?

growing up online #15 but not for mid-term

you can watch the entire show at:http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/kidsonline/

you should ...it's really, really good ...all students, teachers and parents should watch it

from the first part: technology and schools....how much is too much? the old way versus the new....what's right? what does it mean? one student says nobody reads books anymore...just go to spark notes...what does this mean for the education system? how should it react? If there were 27 hours a day, would he really read Hamlet....I don't think he would....does it matter if he doesn't

note how student "behaviour" is being affected by social networking sites...and not how the MySpace /Facebook battle neatly divides people among "class" (and racial) lines

so blog....how cool are we...using technology to do school work

read the twitter article and blog on the following:

"the lure of twitter is the rule of Right Now. there is no death in the moment of Right Now:.....If you are tweeting or tweeted, you are not dead,...People need to address lost face time somehow.Tweeting does that. It can't address the horror of dying...but it may ease our fear of dying alone"

so....respond to that
